I have been a registered childminder for approximately three years having looked after children between the ages of six months and fourteen years.

I live at home with my husband who is a Police Officer and I have three children of my own between the ages of one and nine years. I pride myself on offering a calm, fun and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop.

I am currently working with the new early years foundation stage frame work. Children are helped and supported to meet the appropriate learning goals for their age through assessment, planning and organisation of activities designed to work at the child's own pace. I help children to learn important life skills and how live a healthy way of life.

Children's individual needs are fully understood and respected.
I encourage children learn about the wider world and promote inclusive practice.
Children learn about multi-cultural festivals and customs through well-planned activities. I praise the children to encourage positive behaviour. I am dedicated to supporting parents in the care and development of their children and committed to working in close partnership with them.

For babies and pre-school children I write a daily diary informing parents/carers of the child's day. I include nappy changes, food consumed, activities and the general information on each day such as what the child enjoyed or disliked and what they may have learned or progressed in.
